Familly Thonon

Arms manufacturers THONON in Liege are rather numerous (25) and the information on those are little. I propose to you a short outline of what I have on the matter.

THONON, Joseph was registered with the house of tests of Liege of 1885 to 1912 then changed corporate name into THONON Joseph & Son of 1912 to 1919. I have then a house THONON Joseph of 1931 to 1938 without I being able to affirm with certainty if it is the same.

THONON, Jules was registered with the house of test of Liège 1908 to 1925. Il then joined DUCHATEAU Jean. It had domiciled in Liege street Fusch 28 and deposited a trademark “ CANONS D’ARMES A FEU ” the 08.02.1912.

Thonon Michel Fils, arms manufacturer with Corinhez-Housse, which deposited in 1909 four patents, including 220480 (on November 16th, 1909)

THONON, Fernand, 51 street Monulphe in Liege which was registered with the house of tests of 1919 to 1929.

Its barrels were often manufactured out of nickel-plated steel TOLEDO - TOLEDO COMPRESSES - SIEMENS-MARTIN STEEL

THONON Maurice arms manufacturer which is at the origin of the patents deposited by its ex-wife Mrs. Marguerite LAMBERT. This one had created in 1947 sprl ARMO established in BRUSSELS street of the Royalty, 38. Two managers were named Nicolas PIRARD and Maurice THONON. (This information comes from the book of Michel Druart).
