Léonard MORAY

This beautiful revolver folding of type Smith & Wesson is often met in various catalogues arms manufacturers inhabitant of Liège, such as FRANCOTTE, LOVINFOSSE & HARDY and MASEREEL with the only denomination "revolver MORAY".

The patent of this revolver was deposited in 1875 per Léonard MORAY of WANDRE (LIEGE).

WANDRE, on right bank of the Meuse downstream from LIEGE was famous as being the fatherland of the manufacturers of guns and revolvers.

Many inventive arms manufacturers come from this area, people like Gilles MARIETTE, Jean and Julien WARNANT, RISSACK etc.

The weapon in question is combined in various models such as:

In calibre 320 and 380 to 5 shots.

In calibre 450 and 44 russian with 6 shots.

It could also be provided with an extractor with 1 and 2 pedals WARNANT.

Family MORAY, without one being able to determine, without a pushed genealogical study, the degree of relationship, had in her ranks of other inventive arms manufacturers like named:
