It is about rifle of a Swiss type models Martiny. The stick with eighth note is typically Swiss model. While the mechanism of the weapon is of type Martiny. The barrel with 8 sides also comprises sight of Swiss type.

This weapon carries the lawful punches of the proofhouse of Liege, namely:

ELG* in a crowned oval: final acceptance, of use of 1893 to 1968.

R crowned: rifled bore, of use of 1894 to 1968.

A* (read so well?): countermark of the controller, of use of 1877 to 1968.

Peron: inspection, of use of 1853 to our days.

The weapon also carries the following marks:

FL N°1: indicate that the ammunition is of type Flobert N°1.

RW: mark of the manufacturer of weapons Rene Warnant (see the site).

Single shot pistol, octagonal swing barrel, "snake" lock, Mexican trigger, grid walnut butt, bearing the statutory hallmarks of the Liège proofhouse, namely:

ELG on a star in a crowned oval: definitive acceptance after 1893.

C starred: countermark of the controller post 1877.

Peron: hallmark of the inspector of the proofhouse in use from 1853 to the present day.

R crowned: rifled barrel, in use from 1894 to 1968.

The gun also bears the mark FL 22C which means it is a Flobert 22 caliber short (6 mm).

LD in an oval: probably the initials of the craftsman/worker who made the carcass

Manufacturer: Meyers-Coune Henri, an armourer in Cheratte, in 1913 he filed two patents for a gas-deflagration pistol system, combining three-point recoil and reverse-recovery, as well as a new device applicable to automatic weapons.

Attached is extracted from a 1909 catalogue of the L. Ancion-Marx (LAM) arms factory where the same weapon appears under the reference 23TH.

MEYERS-COUNE Henri arms manufacturer in Cheratte, in 1913 it deposits two patents in Belgium for an automatic gun by gas deflagration combining the retreat in three places and with movement of opposite trigger as well as a new device applicable to the automatic weapons.

The weapon presented is a gun of shooting of the Flobert type to Mexican trigger which has nothing to do with the patents above.
