Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

F. Kinapen

Here is a beautiful F. Kinapen patented percussion revolver, which has nothing to do with the patents filed by Fernand Kinapen: it would be necessary to disassemble the stock and especially the plate covering the mechanism of the dog to know more, but I strongly advise against it to uninformed people; on the other hand, we think of course Robert Adams and especially James Kerr (1855)

who gives back to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, in this case the pusher to the left to force the bullets into the barrel. Thank you Marcel.

There is only one punch: the classic ELG on star in oval, for acceptance between 1846 and 1893.

As for François Mathieu Kinapen, he filed four patents between 1855 and 1861 and was registered with the proofhouse of Liège from 1860 to 1862. Also noted are F. Kinapen & C°, registered on the proofhouse of 1862 and 1863, and François Kinapen registered between 1863 and 1873. It’s hard to tell if it’s one or more people.
