Mentioned in period documents as "Mechanical engineers" in Liege and in Brussels, Belgium, and applicants for the British patent 3553/1867 for a "battery gun for blast discharging ", i.e the original patent for the "Montigny Machine-gun".
They registered many patents including 1 for a weapon known as ''machine gun" Belgian Patent n° 22199 on 12.09.1867.
