The weapon is entirely nickelled; the ejection of the casings is produced by a star ejector which becomes animated by folding the weapon.
The opening is done while drawing backwards, then by raising the small part knurled with the top of the hammer.

Manufacture Liégeoise (see Belgian weapons - identified craftsmen) carried out an almost perfect copy of this model of S&W until putting on the plates a logo with the letters L&M interlaced whose design inevitably makes think of that of S&W and, a marking in English, on the top of the barrel followed by numbers of patent like the famous American firm, the whole surrounded by crowned initials ML. A nearly identical weapon but for a very advantageous price certainly. (See pub)
