Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

Ghaye Lambert

Ghaye Lambert is not registered (as far as I know) at the proofhouse of Liège!

He is the inventor of a slide barrel around 1865. About 1888, a model with a metal cartridge came out, that gun had a lever-underguard like Winchester that slid the barrel on its table and triggered the extractor movement.

Lambert Ghaye applied his system to almost the entire range of small arms at the time.

It is therefore a highly sought-after weapon in the collection.
