The weapon
Semi-automatic pistol CLEMENT model 1903
Initially envisaged for the Spanish cartridge 5 mm Charola also known under the name 5mm Clement, (cartridges with collar bottle, pad, gorges and with lined ball.
He will undergo several modifications and will be also confined into 6,35 Browning.
This weapon was manufactured 1903 to 1907.
The system is with fixed barrel, mobile breech, slightly eccentric.
The carcass is in two parts, out of machined steel; the part high places the barrel, the recuperate spring and its stem guides. The lower part, the breech, the handle and its magazine.
The frame of handle forms integral part of the carcass; the two striated plates are out of squared wood with the logo CLEMENT, two C stylized, intertwined and reversed.
They are maintained by a metal screw with head drips of tallow.
The trigger is full, curved and smooth.
Safety is consisted a lever of safety on the face postpones right carcass, with the word FIRE, raised it blocks the breech and the trigger.
Classification: 9828 in various points of the weapon.

Mark JB joined in a circle is unknown for me, perhaps the mark of Jules BURY arms manufacturer in Liege. Perhaps did it resell the production, partly at least, of CLEMENT??
