Breuer Eugène

The patent for this weapon was filed in Belgium on 03/10/1865 by E. Breuer.

But in fact this weapon was invented by Alexandre Guerriero and constitutes an "improvement" of the Lefaucheux system.

He entrusted Breuer with the manufacture of the weapon, so it can be assumed that he gave him permission to file the patent in his name.

Alexandre Guerriero being Italian, this weapon will be called "Italian revolver".

The drop barrel system and the hinged rear part is particularly ingenious.

But the French authorities see too much inconvenience in this and, despite the interest, this weapon will not be chosen for the army.
