DRGM

Here is a very strange small German 4 mm caliber pistol at one shot which, according to a German expert, has already been spotted/reported several times, but its exact origin, let alone its destination, has not yet been determined.

DRGM indeed indicates that the patent has been registered, but if there is no number, the task is immeasurable...

As for saying that the 27 corresponds to the Nazi party, it is possible, but I can’t find it anywhere.

Some refer to a small "suicide" weapon. According to a medical examiner, even such a small cartridge (and even a 4.5 mm lead for an air gun) can be lethal.

Regarding the cartridge, we can say this (thanks to FL).

But this cartridge was designed to be fired into reducing tubes, not into such a pistol.

Here is what we know about this cartridge in German, English and Spanish.

Another member of the team commented :

"For the ammunition, we have the choice between two very close ammunition:

- 4mm M20 Ubungspartridge

- 4 x 6.8 Geco which is in both central percussion and annular percussion.

Considering the cartridge reproduction placed next to the imprint, we can definitely say that it is indeed a weapon in 4mm Geco.

This small cartridge was created in 1920 for the "reduced shot" and indoor drive ...

Given the lack of powder in the cases of the 4mm, there is little chance that the weapon could have been used for discreet assassinations (although by pushing the barrel violently into the eye....).

(Editor’s note: see the forensic doctor’s opinion above...)

Obviously the sixth line of the label poses a problem ... I decipher "Probably 14 to 18 cal" (it helps to have students who have handwriting of s.....) ... which I interpret as "Probably .14 to .18 cal." and so I translate and convert to "probably a caliber between 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm".

Regarding the weapon itself ... it bears the mark D.R.G.M. (which would have been used between 1891 and 1952) ... so we can date this "thing" between 1920 and 1952. Besides, I don't see a Nazi punch, not even a punch of any kind !

Sorry for not being able to solve the riddle.
